There’s a plaque up on the wall of the house on Brighton Road where it’s inventor lived and made the game which is loved by millions around the world. From 1986 to 1990 Birmingham held the Halfords superprix, a car race held on the city streets. It helped launch the careers of several Formula one drivers such as Jean Alesi and Heinz-Harald Frentzen. Parts of the old circuit can still be driven today and you can tell it was a racing track because of it’s layout.
